A matched pair of vintage serving trays mare of horn in silver with Bakelite style horn shaped handles. The surfaces carry the characteristic translucency and warm variation of natural horn: no two pieces identical, the color shifting from amber to dark brown depending on the light and the angle. At 19 and 17 inches respectively, the trays have real presence on a table — functional in origin, sculptural in effect.
